Our flight begins as we glide in through the side arches of the cathedral, passing within arm’s length of figures of saints. Then we spiral up the towers to the ornate crosses on top, passing water-spitting gargoyles and coming eye-to-eye with scowling demons and beatific angels.
Gothic cathedrals like Cologne’s iconic “Dom” offer a myriad of artfully created sculptures, motifs and details. Many are unknown even to those who know the cathedral well, simply because they’ve been hidden away in inaccessible corners for hundreds of years.
Our clip shows this World Heritage Site in stunning CG imagery, every detail painstakingly recreated and displayed through animated camera movements designed to look like the flight of a falcon.
